Cationicsurfactant, sterilizingagent
It’s used in products such as biocides, washing and cleaning products, pH regulators, and water treatment products. It’s also used as an antimicrobial for hard surfaces, laundry, carpets, agricultural equipment, food handling facilities, medical equipment, water storage and purification equipment, swimming pools, and industrial water systems.
Safety: It’s a poison by ingestion and emits toxic vapors of NOx and Cl- when heated to decomposition. It’s also highly irritating to the eye and skin. It’s advised not to use it for squirting or spraying, or for products that come into direct contact with the skin.
